Prof Chloe Scott is a consultant hip, knee & trauma surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Spire Murrayfield Hospital. She is also an Honorary Professor at Imperial College London in recognition of her research into joint replacements and her work with industry and academic partners to improve knee replacement design.

Professor Scott is an internationally acclaimed and prize-winning surgeon and researcher and is Editor-in-Chief of the Bone and Joint Research journal. She has published over 130 papers on arthroplasty outcomes, periprosthetic fractures, robotic surgery, finite element analysis and knee biomechanics, details of which can be can be found here. Professor Scott is an international speaker on traumaplasty, complex knee replacement, revision surgery and periprosthetic fracture management. A key element of her research is in improving access to life changing joint replacement surgery and she co-authored the report on the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on patients waiting for hip replacement surgery for the United Kingdom Covid-19 Inquiry and presented it at the hearings.
